# Cybersecurity Services in Dubai

## Protected without the friction

**Cybersecurity Services:** As a cybersecurity company in Dubai focused on offices, Listonics defines office cybersecurity as the set of controls that stop the most common attacks on small and mid-size businesses: a properly configured firewall, multi-factor authentication on email and cloud accounts, managed endpoint protection on every device, secure remote access and tested backups, kept in place and monitored over time.

Most attacks on offices are not clever. They are a phishing email, a reused password, a laptop with no protection, a remote-desktop port left open. The good news is that the defences against them are well understood and affordable.

Listonics puts the basics in place and keeps them there: a properly set up firewall, multi-factor sign-in on email and cloud accounts, managed endpoint protection on every device, secure VPN or zero-trust remote access, and backups that are tested, not just assumed. Our baseline follows guidance from [the UAE Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority](https://www.tdra.gov.ae/) and lines up with [the NIST Cybersecurity Framework](https://www.nist.gov/cyberframework).

We explain what each control does in plain words, and we keep it simple for your staff. Security that people work around is not security.

> Best team I’ve ever hired. All in one place.
>
> As a construction company, we have a lot to manage, so finding one team that can handle our IT and digital requirements has been really helpful. Listonics has supported us with office networking, cybersecurity, website development and SEO. Their team knows what they’re doing and has been easy to work with. We no longer need to coordinate with different companies for every requirement, which saves us time and effort. Overall, it’s been a good experience, and we’re happy to have them supporting our business.

> We needed a custom ERP and HR system for our business, along with a new website, and Listonics helped us with all three. The team was approachable, listened to what we wanted and made the process easier than we expected. We could discuss changes directly with them, which made a big difference. It was also convenient having one team handle everything instead of dealing with multiple companies. Overall, we’re happy with how things turned out and glad we chose them.

Listonics projects run from AED 2,500 to AED 30,000 as a fixed scope; support is a fixed monthly fee with response times written into the agreement. The [IT support cost guide](https://listonics.com/it-support-cost-dubai/) and [managed IT pricing guide](https://listonics.com/managed-it-services-pricing-dubai/) set out how the numbers are built.

## What we get called in to fix

- Multi-factor authentication switched on for most staff and quietly skipped for the directors who travel most.

- A former employee whose mailbox still works months after leaving, because offboarding was a verbal request.

- Shared logins for a portal or a finance system, so the logs cannot show who actually did anything.

- Backups that run every night and have never once been restored, which means nobody knows whether they would work.

- An insurer's questionnaire with a two-week deadline and no one who can answer the access-control questions.

## Who needs this

Any office with client data, email and money moving through it, especially those asked for security evidence by clients, insurers or regulators, and those that have never switched on MFA.

## Our security baseline covers:

- Firewall configuration, content filtering and intrusion prevention.

- Multi-factor authentication across Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace.

- Managed endpoint protection on every laptop and PC.

- Secure remote access for staff working from home or on site.

- Email security, spam filtering and phishing awareness for staff.

## Measured, not guessed

We start with a review of your current setup and give you a short, ordered list: what is urgent, what is important, and what can wait, before anything is bought.

## What is in scope, and what is not

In scope: multi-factor authentication and [Conditional Access](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/conditional-access/overview) across Microsoft 365, endpoint protection such as [Microsoft Defender for Endpoint](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/defender-endpoint/microsoft-defender-endpoint), device encryption and management, a documented joiner and leaver process, quarterly access reviews, backup that is tested rather than assumed, and the written evidence a client, auditor or insurer asks for. Our approach follows the structure of [the NIST Cybersecurity Framework](https://www.nist.gov/cyberframework) without pretending a small office needs an enterprise programme.

Not in scope: penetration testing and formal certification audits, which we arrange through specialists when a client requires them rather than performing ourselves. Nor is it a promise that nothing will ever happen. The realistic promise is that the common attacks fail, that an incident is contained rather than catastrophic, and that you can prove to anyone who asks what protections were in place. [CISA's ransomware guidance](https://www.cisa.gov/stopransomware) is the reference we point clients to for what containment actually requires. Cameras, door controllers and sensors are in scope for the same baseline and are covered on the [connected devices](https://listonics.com/services/iot/) page, because a device shipped with a default password is one of the few ways into a network that multi-factor authentication does nothing to stop.

### How pricing works

A fixed-scope baseline installation (firewall, MFA rollout, endpoint protection, email security, backup) after a free security review, then a small monthly fee per user for monitoring and management, or included in managed support.

### How implementation works

1. **Consult**, a free site survey and a conversation about headcount, floor plan and what is already in place.

2. **Design & source**, a fixed-scope proposal with equipment listed item by item.

3. **Install**, delivered, tested and documented on site, usually outside working hours.

4. **Manage**, monitoring, helpdesk and monthly management under a support plan, or on-call support if you prefer.

## What to compare when choosing a provider

- Are response and on-site targets written down by priority?

- Is the quote a fixed scope, itemised, or hourly?

- Who attends site, employed engineers or subcontractors?

- Which business-grade brands are proposed, and why those?

- Will you receive documentation you own, diagrams, accounts, port maps?

- What exactly is excluded, and what does it cost when it happens?

## Frequently asked questions

### We are a small office, do we really need this?

Small offices are targeted precisely because they are less protected. The baseline we install is sized and priced for offices of 5 to 200 people.

### Will MFA slow my team down?

Set up correctly it adds a few seconds once a day per device. We roll it out in stages and support staff through the change.

### Do you provide ongoing security monitoring?

Yes, under Managed IT Support we monitor endpoints, patch systems and review firewall logs, and we respond when something looks wrong.

### Can you help with compliance requirements?

We help you meet common requirements from clients, insurers and regulators: written controls, access rules and backup evidence.

### Is a small office really a target?

Yes, precisely because it is small. Most attacks are automated and indiscriminate: phishing sent to every address in a list, password attempts against every mailbox without multi-factor authentication. The attacker does not know or care how big you are. What stops them is the same set of controls at any size, and at a small office they are inexpensive.

### Can you help with a client or insurer security questionnaire?

Yes, and it is usually faster than answering it in-house. We provide the technical detail -- access lists, security settings, backup and retention configuration -- in the format they ask for. The questions you can answer easily are the ones where the control already exists and is documented, which is the whole point of doing the work first.

### What happens if we do get hit by ransomware?

The outcome is decided long before, by whether backups exist that the attacker could not reach and whether anyone has tested restoring from them. With those in place, the response is containment and recovery over a day or two. Without them, the options are much worse. That is why backup sits inside our security work rather than beside it.
